Two weeks in and I've sat in the Crosshair chair far more than I'd like to admit, and it has been very comfortable. Even after a full day working from home sitting upright, I was perfectly happy leaning it back a bit after-hours to do some gaming with a controller.
Compared to the Andaseat Kaiser 3, the adjustable lumbar is much gentler on your back in the Crosshair with a nicely padded and spread out ‘bulge’, rather than the lumpy bar you can feel digging into your back in the Kaiser 3 (even fully wound in). Well done, Battlebull! I am 5’7” and the lumbar support position is great.
The easy build, fit and finish is excellent. The locking armrest positions stay put where you set them, and I like that you can loosen the bolts to move the whole arm in/out a few cm if needed.
The large and lumpy magnetic head pillow is squishy and fine for reclined gaming with a controller. However, it is too thick when sitting upright using the mouse and keyboard where it pushes your head and shoulders off the seat, so I end up swapping the pillow out for a folded towel. This is my one minor gripe. A thinner head pillow would be more of an ‘all rounder’, or even the inclusion of a bow-tie shaped magnetic neck rest AS WELL (that would be amazing), similar to the Kaiser 3 one.
Overall a happy customer, and if you do release a thinner magnetic head/neck option, please let me know! (Happy to test and review if you send me one... hint hint...)
